All the important information you need to know
Do I need to have a trial?
A bridal hair and makeup trial is essential. It gives us the perfect opportunity to discuss what type of look you would like and co-ordinate with your bridesmaids and wedding colours. This will ensure that you are 100% happy with the finished look and ensure a stress free application on the day of the wedding. Bridesmaids and bridal party trials are optional.
What makeup products do you use?
I use high quality, professional beauty products including Airbase Airbrush makeup, Estee Lauder, Mac, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Benefit and Urban Decay.
Should I wash my hair on the day of my wedding?
If you have fine hair you should wash it on the morning of your wedding. If your hair is thicker, you should wash it the day before your wedding.
When should I have my trial and how long will it take?
You should have your trial 6 weeks before your wedding day. You can have it earlier if you have your veil and tiara ready. Typically, a trial for the bride takes about 2 hours for full hair and make-up.
I have sensitive skin. Will your makeup products upset my skin?
All the products that we use are hypo-allergenic, so are unlikely to cause you are a problem. If you are concerned then please let me know and I can apply your own makeup for you.
Do you work alone or with another artist?
I work alone on smaller bookings, but work alongside another hair and makeup artist when needed so we can accommondate larger bookings too. You will have the same stylist/artist at your trial and your wedding day. We will both be there at your makeup and hair trial and on your wedding day.
Are you fully qualified and insured?
Yes, I am a highly professional hair stylist and makeup artist with 10 years experience. I am also fully insured.
